Minister Server Tavares – A dynamic Hip Hop Cultural Strategist with spiritual conviction, organizational skills and a true gift of inspiring people to tap into their greatness! He is a committed leader with integrity, passion and experience, who has spent over 25 years dedicated to the development, growth and preservation of Hip Hop culture around the world! 

Originally from Atlantic City, NJ, he graduated from Wilberforce University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and moved to Atlanta, GA. After a few years of being a DJ/producer, in 1992 he became involved with Nation Time Syndicate, Inc., the first Hip Hop collective of artists, organizers, teachers, leaders and businesses in Atlanta, GA. Through NTS he utilized his skills as a writer, photographer, organizer, DJ, MC/Host, activist, consultant, motivational speaker and later its Executive Director.  

Minister Server is the former co-host/producer of three radio shows on WRFG 89.3FM Atlanta, GA- "The Conscious Zone”, Beatz & Lyrics, both specialized in progressive Hip Hop music with uplifting messages and "Tu Wa Moja – We Are One!"- Hip Hop talk show with cultural advice, guidance and information on various topics from a spiritual perspective. 

After graduating from the ministry school in 2003, Hip Hop pioneer/legend, KRS-One, appointed him as a Spiritual Advisor, Lead Minister and National Organizer with the Temple Of Hip Hop movement! For two years he worked with KRS and the TOH in several capacities, he also performs on five songs and even has a solo Spoken Word piece on “Keep Right’, the KRS-One album” released in 2004! 

In 2005, Minister Server was inspired to start Higher Infinite Power Healing Our People (HIPHOP) Ministries, a multi-faith spiritual, cultural and political movement to "Enlighten, Inspire and Empower" people to live and fulfill their divine purpose! Through HM he utilizes his expertise as a Minister, Life Coach, Strategist, Consultant, Motivational Speaker and Facilitator! He teaches Hip Hop culture as life-strategies for self-identification, self-improvement and self-empowerment, which leads to positive social change!

He has lectured at many colleges and universities in the USA and abroad about the meaning, purpose and importance of Hip Hop culture, beyond entertainment. He currently serves as an advisor/consultant with the Temple of Hiphop; Universal Zulu Nation; Trinity International Hip Hop Festival, Universal Hip Hop Museum, other Hip Hop organizations and he is the Director of Humanities with Generation Hip Hop Global, an international youth leadership and empowerment movement with over 60 Chapters around the world! 

Minister Server has lectured at many colleges, universities, schools and community groups in the USA about the meaning, purpose and importance of Hip Hop culture, beyond entertainment. He is a spiritual contributor to “The Gospel Of Hip Hop – The First Instrument” presented by KRS-One. The Hip Hop community is anticipating the release of Minister Server’s first book, "Becoming the Minister Server: A Journey of Faith, Challenges and Transformation Through Hip Hop Culture”, where he shares empowering lessons about his journey to become the FIRST international Minister of Hip Hop culture and the AMAZING people he’s met from around the world!

Minister Server is divorced, a father of six adult children and a “Hiphop GrandPop” of six grandchildren, he currently resides in Atlanta, GA.
